Eastern and Central Arrernte Picture Dictionary
Arrernte language, is the traditional language of Mparntwe (Alice Springs). Arrernte is spoken every day by about 2000 people in the Alice Springs region. Most speakers live all over Central Australia. Arrernte -speaking communities include Mparntwe (Alice Springs), Ltyentye Apurte (Santa Teresa) Artekerre (Harry Creek), Blank Tank, Sandy Bore, Athenge Lhere (16 Mile), Atitjere (Harts Range), Bonya, Eaglebeak, Ammoonguna, Akarnenhe and Atula.
The Eastern and Central Arrernte Picture Dictionary is part of an innovative series of illustrated Aboriginal language dictionaries.
